David C. Garrett, Jr.
David C. Garrett, Jr. is a native of Chattanooga, Tennessee, and earned his Bachelor of Arts in English from The University of Tennessee. While obtaining his law degree from University of Memphis, Mr. Garrett was recognized as a Law Student for Justice by the Tennessee Supreme Court for exceptional pro bono service by law students. Following law school, Mr. Garrett served as Judicial Law Clerk to the Honorable Walter L. Evans in Shelby County Chancery Court. He also served as Judicial Extern to the Honorable John T. Fowlkes, Jr. of the United States District Court for the Western District of Tennessee during law school. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Garrett practiced primarily in the area of family law, handling divorces. Mr. Garrett works in the auto accident and workers compensation practice group.
Outside of work, Mr. Garrett enjoys mentoring law students through a partnership between Memphis Law and the Ben F. Jones National Bar Association. Mr. Garrett is also an avid fan of tennis, and volunteers with local youth through Tennis Memphis.
