There are several essential steps to take after a rideshare accident. You should first call 911, report the accident to the police, and have a health care provider assess your injuries. Collect as much evidence as possible at the scene, including photos, videos, witness testimony, and the contact information of all involved parties. Tennessee Code requires drivers to report any accident to the police that causes more than $50 in property damage or results in injury or death. Additionally, the Tennessee Department of Safety and Homeland Security requires a car accident report to be filed within 20 days of the crash.
