Kathleen Petrie is a Midwest native, originally from the St. Louis area. She attended the University of Missouri – Rolla, where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. She then attended the University of Missouri – St. Louis and earned a Master’s degree in Criminology and Criminal Justice. She served as a law enforcement officer and crime scene investigator for the St. Louis City Police Department before becoming a military spouse and moving away from the area.
She attended law school at the University of Maryland, where she spent two years in a multi-specialty clinic, evaluating and handling cases involving wills and trusts, family law, and personal injury law. During this time, she earned the Public Service Award and the Hoffberger Clinical Law Prize.
Prior to joining NST, Kathleen worked for the Small Business Administration assisting small businesses in obtaining funding, then for a forensic engineering firm, assisting forensic experts as they worked on cases and prepared to testify in litigation. She has assisted experts with over 700 cases, including premises liability, products liability, personal injury, and wrongful death cases.
At NST Law, Kathleen focuses her practice on personal injury and premises liability claims. She takes pride in offering clients a calm, compassionate presence during what is often one of the most challenging times in their lives.
Kathleen is a devoted St. Louis Cardinals fan who spends her free time with her husband, two children, and three German Shepherds. Kathleen enjoys relaxing at the beach, baking, and DIY projects. She is a ZTA alumna, a member of MSJDN, and the Vice President of the Oxford Comma Preservation Society.
