Alex SaharovichFounding Member - Senior Partner
Alex Saharovich was born in Bucharest, Romania, a communist country in which the rights of individuals were oppressed. As a result of systematic persecution and denial of freedom of speech, Mr. Saharovich’s family immigrated to the United States when he was 12 years old. Mr. Saharovich attended junior high at Snowden School in Memphis, where he learned English. Subsequently, he attended White Station High School in Memphis, where he participated in numerous extracurricular activities and began making close friends that have remained friends throughout life. In high school, Mr. Saharovich started appreciating the amazing freedoms the United States offers such as the freedom of speech and freedom of religion. Throughout high school and also during vacations in college, Mr. Saharovich waited tables at the Racquet Club of Memphis. Through hard work, dedication, and perseverance, Mr. Saharovich achieved high academic marks and was accepted to Northwestern University.
Mr. Saharovich obtained his undergraduate degree in political science from Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois where he was listed on the Dean’s List and also inducted into the Alpha Lambda Honor Society. While in law school, Mr. Saharovich also served on the Dean’s Advisory Council.
After law school, Mr. Saharovich worked in a firm where he performed general litigation. During this time, he had many trials, handling a variety of cases such as employment law, auto accident, breach of contract, bankruptcy litigation, and worker’s compensation. After handling a case with Marcus Nahon, they decided to start their own law firm. Since Mr. Saharovich knew Corey Trotz, he told Marcus that Corey would also be a great addition to the firm since he was hard working and dedicated. Thus, in 1990, NST law firm was started with 3 lawyers and one secretary. The goal of NST was to help people who have been injured by providing compassionate, caring, and professional legal services.
Since that time, in over 26 years, Nahon, Saharovich & Trotz has grown into the largest Tennessee based personal injury firm with offices in Memphis, Jackson, and Knoxville, Tennessee, Jonesboro, Arkansas and Jackson and Tupelo, Mississippi. NST is proud to have grown to 32 lawyers and over 100 support staff. The goal of Nahon, Saharovich & Trotz is still the same as it was in 1990, which is to always be compassionate, caring, and advocate for those who cannot do so for themselves. Mr. Saharovich is proud that all lawyers who have joined the firm have strong academic records and a passion to make a difference in the lives of the firm’s clients.
Mr. Saharovich serves as Senior Partner and Managing Partner in the firm. He is engaged in a civil trial practice with emphasis in mass torts litigation, automobile and trucking litigation, and wrongful death cases.
