You have one year from the date of injury to file a complaint, and that’s the statute of limitations now, typically. What we would do, is negotiate or make sure that your claim is developed enough to negotiate with the insurance carrier, but it’s with the timeline being in mind. So, ultimately, you do have one year from the date of injury to file a complaint. Depending on whether or not we’re able to successfully negotiate your case prior to filing, you may not have to. So, if the case settles beforehand, then you don’t have to file a complaint. The case is resolved. However, if it does not, if you and the insurance company aren’t able to come to terms, that’s when we file a complaint within the year.
