Hunter K. Murphree is a personal injury attorney who practices in the Automobile Accident Practice Group at Nahon, Saharovich & Trotz. Mr. Murphree serves the people of Tennessee, Mississippi, Arkansas, and other states by handling personal injury cases such as auto accidents, slip and falls, and more. In addition, Mr. Murphree has experience in helping clients obtain workers’ compensation and Social Security benefits.
Mr. Murphree obtained his undergraduate degree, summa cum laude, from the University of Mississippi in 2011, where he majored in Liberal Studies and minored in Accountancy, Economics, Psychology, and Japanese. During his undergraduate career, Mr. Murphree spent a semester abroad in Japan, honing his language skills and developing his knowledge of international culture and business.
Also while at the University of Mississippi, Mr. Murphree developed an interest in serving his community through volunteer work as a tutor for local middle school and high school students. Upon graduation, Mr. Murphree was offered a job as a computer lab manager at Lafayette County Middle School, in recognition of his dedication to the betterment of young minds. Mr. Murphree accepted the job and spent the next year instructing students in the use of various computer-based math, English and science educational programs. At the end of that school year, Mr. Murphree made the decision to pursue a degree in law.
In 2015, Mr. Murphree obtained his Juris Doctor degree from the Wake Forest University School of Law. During his time at Wake Forest, Mr. Murphree received awards for the highest grade in Legal Analysis, Writing, and Research I and Comparative Constitutional Law. Mr. Murphree was also involved in the “Lawyer on the Line” volunteer program at Wake Forest, which allowed him to assist members of the community with various legal issues under the supervision of a licensed attorney. Through “Lawyer on the Line,” Mr. Murphree gained his first real experience in providing legal services to his community.
Prior to joining Nahon, Saharovich & Trotz, Mr. Murphree practiced with a small personal injury law firm in Oxford, Mississippi. While working in Oxford, Mr. Murphree handled cases involving auto accidents, slip and falls, medical malpractice, products liability, contracts, real estate transactions, and criminal defense. In addition, a large portion of Mr. Murphree’s previous practice was dedicated to assisting clients whose lives were disrupted as a result of the Deepwater Horizon oil spill in 2010.
