One Teen Killed, Four Injured in Tennessee Pickup Truck Crash

According to WSMV Nashville, one teenager died and four teenagers were injured in a Tennessee single-car accident on July 30, 2012. The car accident occurred in Lawrence County, Tennessee. At the time of the accident, all injured teens were riding in the same pickup truck. While attempting to turn onto Route 20 in Lawrence County, the driver ran through a stop sign and could not successfully make the turn. Before ultimately coming to a stop, the truck crashed into two trees. Tennessee Highway Patrol officials believe excessive speed caused the accident.

A driver can be considered negligent by speeding.  If a driver’s negligence contributes to a car accident, that driver may be liable for any resulting damages, including a passenger’s injuries.  Therefore, being able to prove negligence in a car accident lawsuit is critical.  TheMemphis car accident attorneysat Nahon, Saharovich & Trotz (“NST Law”) have over twenty years experience investigating car accidents and know how to prove negligence under Tennessee law.  NST lawyers can prove negligence by analyzing an accident report, asking to speak with the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office or Memphis Police Department, and requesting to interview witnesses.  Should these methods not definitively prove negligence, NST Law may retain an accident reconstruction expert to recreate the crash.  If you have lost a loved one in a car accident in Memphis, Germantown, Frayser, or Shelby County, call the Tennessee auto accident attorneys at Nahon, Saharovich & Trotz today at 901-683-7000 or 1-800-LAW-4004.
