Valerie L. Smith is a native of Tipton County, Tennessee. During her third year of law school, Ms. Smith served as the law clerk for the Honorable James F. Russell, Circuit Court Judge, Division 2. Prior to joining the firm of Nahon, Saharovich & Trotz in 2006, Ms. Smith was associated with the Shelby County District Attorney General's Office where she prosecuted all types of criminal cases. During her tenure as a prosecutor, Ms. Smith was assigned to special units such as the West Tennessee Drug Task Force and the Gang & Narcotics Prosecution Unit. Ms. Smith devotes her time away from the office to her family and volunteer work. She is an active member of the Junior League of Memphis. Her primary area of practice is automobile accidents litigation and nursing home litigation.
