Anderson County, Tennessee Vehicular Manslaughter Investigation

Tennessee Highway Patrol investigators say 83-year-old Dwight J. Allen was killed Saturday morning on E. Wolfe Valley Road in Anderson County near Clinton.

According to THP, Allen was laying in the middle of the road when a car driven by 32 year old Kevin Moore hit him.

No citations have been issued. Allen was tested for drugs and alcohol which is a standard procedure, but investigators do not believe Moore had either drugs or alcohol in his system.

Troopers are not saying why Allen was laying in the middle of the road, but an investigation is ongoing.
